BY JOINING Grandconnection.net, AND PRESSING THE "I ACCEPT" BUTTON, YOU'RE AGREEING TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW. THESE RULES AND GUIDELINES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED TO PROTECT YOU TO ENSURE THAT BECOMING A MEMBER AND PARTICIPATING IN OUR COMMUNITY IS FUN AND SAFE FOR EVERYONE.
Welcome to Grandconnection.net Membership Registration. This Membership Agreement and any Addenda you may later receive describe the terms and conditions of your membership. By clicking on the "I Accept" button, you accept the terms and conditions of this Agreement. We may automatically amend this Agreement at any time by sending the amended terms to the e-mail address you provide to us. Such amendments will be effective when sent. This website and the information it provides are designed for educational and informational purposes only. The information provided through this website does not constitute or render (and is not intended or designed to constitute or render) medical, legal, therapeutic advice or services or other professional advice or services. TERMS
1.You are eligible to become a Member so long as you are over 18. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must accept this Agreement on your behalf by pressing the "I Accept" button.
2.You should register yourself, and only yourself, for a Membership. You may not transfer or share your Membership with anyone. You shall comply with all applicable laws regarding your access to Membership and your participation in Member services.
3.We may terminate your Membership immediately if you breach this Agreement or if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us.
4.ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED 'AS IS'. WE AND OUR CONTRIBUTORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TIME, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted access to you. In the event that applicable law does not allow the disclaimer of express or implied warranties, the foregoing disclaimer may not apply to you.
5.IN NO EVENT SHALL GRANDCONNECTION.NET, ITS AGENTS OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (HOWEVER ARISING, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR FOR INTERRUPTED COMMUNICATIONS, LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT OR THE USE OF THIS WEBSITE. THE LIABILITY OF GRANDCONNECTION.NET AND ITS AGENTS AND AFFILIATES, TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTIES IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT OF FEES YOU PAY TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE ACTION GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) $100. In the event that applicable law does not permit limitations of liability, the foregoing limitations may not apply to you.
6.You alone are responsible for the content of your messages, and the consequences of any such messages. Grandconnection.net reserves the right to terminate your membership if it determines, in its sole discretion, that you are violating any of the following guidelines.
(i)Any use by you of any other subscriber's information, personal or otherwise, for any commercial purpose or to obtain direct financial gain (e.g. mass marketing) is prohibited. Any such use shall be deemed to be a violation of the Membership Agreement and Terms of Service.
(ii)Chat and message boards are to be used for personal use only. Commercial use of Grandconnection.net chat and message boards is strictly prohibited unless prior written consent from Grandconnection.net has been obtained. You further agree not to use Grandconnection.net to send or post on message boards or any other place on the website any message or material that is unlawful, harassing, libelous, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, racially or ethnically offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature or material that encourages or endorses conduct that constitutes or could constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation, or encourage the use of controlled substances.
Grandconnection.net reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to delete any such material from chat, message boards and any other place on-line member response is available. Grandconnection.net will cooperate fully with any law enforcement officials and/or agencies in the investigation of any person or persons who violate the Terms of Service contained in this section.
(iii)You are not to impersonate any other person or entity, whether actual or fictitious, including impersonating an employee or consultant of Grandconnection.net. You further agree not to use an inappropriate member name of any kind.
(iv)You agree not to post or use chat or message boards to distribute or send any illegal material of any kind, including but not limited to, illegal material in the form of text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Posting content or participating in any form of discussion with the intention to commit any illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
(v)You acknowledge that (a) Grandconnection.net permits access to content that is protected by copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual and proprietary rights ("Rights"); (b) these Rights are valid and protected in all media and technologies existing now or later developed; and (c) except as explicitly provided otherwise, the Terms of Service and applicable copyright, trademark and other laws govern your use of such content. You may not post, copy, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise transfer any material subject to any Rights. You acknowledge that Grandconnection.net may acquire Rights to use any posted materials as described below, and that you will not acquire any of those Rights by downloading such materials.
(vi)By submitting content, which shall include your member name, photograph or likeness or any essay or other written materials to any "public area" of Grandconnection.net, including message boards, photo contests and chat rooms, you grant Grandconnection.net and its affiliates a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, alter, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, communicate to the public, perform and display the content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, for the full term of any Rights that may exist in such content. You also warrant that the holder of any Rights, has completely and effectively waived all such rights and validly and irrevocably granted to you the right to grant the license stated above. You also permit any subscriber to access, display, view, store and reproduce such content for personal use. Subject to the foregoing, the owner of such content placed on Grandconnection.net retains any and all Rights that my exist in such content.
(vii)ANYTHING CONTAINED HEREIN TO THE CONTRARY NOTWITHSTANDING, BY SUBMITTING CONTENT TO ANY CONTESTS ON Grandconnection.net, YOU HEREBY EXPRESSLY PERMIT Grandconnection.net, its agents and affiliates TO IDENTIFY YOU AS THE CONTRIBUTOR OF SUCH CONTENT TO THE CONTEST IN ANY PUBLICATION IN ANY FORM, MEDIA OR TECHNOLOGY NOW KNOWN OR LATER DEVELOPED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTENT, UNLESS YOU OTHERWISE NOTIFY Grandconnection.net IN WRITING AT THE TIME YOU SUBMIT THE CONTENT THAT YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE IDENTIFIED.
7.Grandconnection.net is not responsible for the content of any site linked to or from this website. Links are provided solely for the convenience of Grandconnection.net users and members and do not constitute the endorsement or promotion of any materials or information available on such linked sites. Grandconnection.net makes no representations or warranties regarding the information on any linked sites and EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, OWNERSHIP or VALIDITY with respect to information provided on such linked sites.
8.Upon Grandconnection.net's request you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Grandconnection.net and its affiliates, representatives, officers, directors and employees from all liabilities, claims, costs and expenses, including attorney fees, that arise out of or in connection with your use of the site, including Grandconnection.net shopping, products, contests or services of merchants, or your posting, downloading or transmission of all communications or material on this site. By using this website, or by copying, downloading and/or reprinting any images or materials found herein, the user agrees to abide by all copyright laws. Permission to reprint, copy or reproduce, in anyway, any document or graphic in whole or in part, for any reason is expressly prohibited without the prior written consent of the copyright holder(s) of the material in question.
9.This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of Illinois as such laws are applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within Illinois between Illinois residents. Both parties submit to jurisdiction in Illinois and further agree that any cause of action arising under this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in a court located in, or having jurisdiction over, Lake County, Illinois. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be stricken and the remaining provisions shall remain fully enforceable. Grandconnection.net's failure to act with respect to a breach of this Agreement by you or others does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. If we ask a third party to provide services through Grandconnection.net or for your Membership, the provisions of this Agreement shall apply to your use of their services. Grandconnection.net shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting directly or indirectly from any causes beyond its control. This Agreement sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and Grandconnecion.net and its agents and affiliates with respect to the subject matter hereof.
10.The services hereunder are offered by Catalyst Benefits Inc, an Illinois corporation, whose principal place of business is located at 450 Skokie Blvd #901 Northbrook, IL 60062.
