Today, over 100 million Americans are GrandParents, representing almost 80% of all people over the age of 65. Many will become first time GrandParents, between the ages of 49 and 53. Many will raise their grandchildren.

In an effort to understand this “GrandParenting Phenomenon”, Catalyst’s national research team interviewed a broad cross section of GrandParents, Adult Children and Grandchildren. The goal was to create opportunities for communication, learning and understanding between the three generations. The openness and honesty of the participants and the scope of the results were staggering.
